Across the nation, the ability to place the right person in the right job is growing all the time. It isn't 'rocket science' either. To place the right person you look for.. ...skills ...experience ...aptitude And, if the role is really critical: a proven track record of success. Why don't we do this with political candidates? Working on the 'how to do it' wouldn't be that difficult. Think about this - what if where you worked, instead of putting people in place based on skill and performance, we suddenly switched to elections. People would spend their time getting elected rather than doing work. Sound familiar? And, what if the only consideration we gave to putting a person in a job what how well they 'campaigned' for the job? Would we have any confidence that our company would work? How can think government is any different than where we work? The system we have for creating the administration of government needs to include skill assessments and results we all, as informed citizens, can use. As Christians, we want to do a good job with our responsibilities. One of our responsiblities that we have is to elect the right person to the right job. We don't have a good process for this today. I think this should be the 'wave of the future' to improve how our government works. Simple. Doable. Necessary. What do you think?

  • Donna-This is great! I plan on sharing your response with others. This should be our criteria for selecting candidates for our government.
