Here is something that often as Christians we tend to forget who we are called to be and what our purpose truly is. I came across the scripture found in Phil 2:14-16 where God is calling us to be a beacon shining bright to the world. The thought came to me. How bright is my light. We have been set here to act as a representation of Jesus Himself, to be a witness and do the works of Christ. So the question I would like to ask is. Is your light bright? Is it dim and dull? Or is it flickering ready to blow out? This is a reality as Christians because we can get so busy in this world where we have been called to be the Light of the World, the Salt of the Earth and forget who we are representing. Let’s not wait until it’s too late to show people Jesus. Let’s not think of another reason why we should tell someone about Christ. Let’s take the opportunity while we still have it. Lastly I would like to ask a question to everyone that is reading. When was the last time you talked to someone about Jesus or invited someone out to church?

  • This was great!!!! Perfect! Simple! I loved it! Great exhort! I have nothing to add to this, other than say.....he who has ears to hear!
  • Great questions, Dan!!! I especially like the phrase "and forget WHO we are representing." I've been putting up posts lately about "Your Belief System and Your Church" just to shake up people's paradigms and get them to think. A clear view of Eternity greatly changes one's perspectives. Christians who've every been given a vision of Heaven or Hell, from then on have NEVER forgotten WHO they represent and the "light" question.
