Here is just a brief summary. In April, a team of international leaders assembled for a Summit. Our concerns were two-fold – the declining state of our nation and the ineffectiveness of our churches. Many of you, like us, have been part of many summits. Usually you leave with a better picture of the problem and a few action items. Before the Summit, my prayer was simple and two-fold. One, that we would agree on the definition of the root problem. Two, that we would agree on effective solutions. The first day of the summit was intense. But, at the end of the day, we all agreed: the church has lost its effectiveness in our communities. We agreed, if we don’t solve that problem, we cannot address our national problems effectively, either. The team spent the next two days working on solutions. These solutions we simple, direct and doable. Then an amazing thing happened – every member of the Summit Team rearranged their schedule to spend days to weeks to months to spend time in the Endless Mountains Region of Pennsylvania to implement the solutions. Here is a graphic to help you understand our approach. Let’s review the graphic from the ground up. Go on to Part 2, Preparing the Ground. Click HERE.
