MY JOURNEY? Kingdom Identity

Well, I have not added to this at all. Not sure I can do this every day, but who knows.

I am focused right now on "Kingdom Identity", how it impacts, and literally controls (dare I say) all the other callings, hopes, aspirations, dreams, and etc. that are in my life.

I am a complicated person because I don't just have :"oine" dream or career path I can follow. Sorting out the "dream" from "calling" and each thing from the other is not always easy for me.

Sometimes I think I get it right, like what I do with the newspaper- it has a clear purpose and intent and a clear sphere in which it operates.

I am working on a story, and that is clear to me, it's a story that God inspired me to write a long time ago, so it's simple- write it.

But in exploring this idea of Kingdom Identity, that is truly exciting, even breath-taking. I am not ready to post my "findings" but I will post the discovery process, just know that where I land may not be where I start, this is a discovery process, which means I am not exactly sure what's around the bend, although I suspect that it will lead to a fundamental course correction (we all need those- in the Navy we learned that you have to stop periodically and re calibrate things for navigation purposes, or if you are plotting the whereabouts of a contact).

I also believe this will help me definitely draw clear boundaries between the different arenas in which God has called me and keep all those "little callings" in harmony with the BIG vision, which is a vision I believe we should ALL share- which I might personally express as something like this: To know, to live out, to enjoy, and to extend the Kingdom of God through faith in Jesus Christ and the love of God, among men and women, where we live, where work, and where we worship, in short everywhere, for the Glory of God.

Adding to this- I certainly see more clearly a call to serve as a salt and light influence in the arena of "nation building", but as for my Kingdom identity in Christ, BEING AS FAMILY with my "Blood Bought Kin In Christ" is a vital element of my Kingdom identity in Christ. I believe that a whole natural nation could one day emerge out of what I speak to and how I influence the natural, but that can only be because a whole ETERNAL Nation, the Kingdom of God, is IN me and flows out from within me, and that is first expressed, and mostly experienced, in Christian family.

If I ascended the heights of world acclaim and power and did not have this kind of love with my fellow Believers, then I would be, in the Kingdom of God, lower than a pauper! God gives us "works" to do that Glorify Him and serve His purpose, and He works in the Christian or Kingdom community of all Believers, in the connected communities we all belong to, and in the natural communities of everyone around us in our temporal nations. God works in every authority, including the sacred, the social, the civic, and the market within these communities.

So we are given "works", often in separate communities and within separate authorities, but all for the Glory and Purpose of God, but our identity in His Kingdom starts, I believe, in the family of Believers around us, which we cannot neglect even if our "work" in other communities and authorities seems "big" or large or what have you.

I pray that whatever God has for me, however He uses me in any community or authority that I always Glorify Him and serve His Purpose, even if I don't see how I am doing that but just know His Voice enough to follow, and that I stay connected to the family of God around me as JUST a fellow Believer, a brother, and a co-laborer in the ONE eternal nation, the Kingdom of God.
