A friend of ours is a minister. He had a most unfortunate experience. He was asked to leave his church.
Now, every day Pastors are asked to leave. Sometimes for good reason.
In the case of my friend... I would like to say a few things.
First, he believes in Jesus Christ as both his Lord and Savior.
Second, he believes that is is critically important that his life honor God.
Third, he believes that the Bible is the inspired Word of God.
It is for point number three that he was asked to leave his church. The leaders at his church did not believe the Bible to be God's inpired word. Just before they met to decide rather to keep my friend as Pastor, he was given one last chance. He was asked, "Do you believe the Bible is actually God's word." My friend replied, "Yes". The man who asked sadly shook his head and replied, "I really liked you. And, you seem so educated and intelligent.... It is a shame." Then he joined with the others and voted him out of the church.
I think that this is the most dangerous of churches. What do you think we should do about it?
