Today, I feel God impressing me that 'birth pangs' are beginning. He is preparing to return. We need to pay even greater attention to building his Kingdom! We need to be deliberate, focused and fruitful!
Well in my personal life, I think He's saying that I should seek out like-minded people within the Kingdom. I know a lot of people my age are into things that don't interest me and aren't edifying, like excessive drinking, drugs, etc. I know not everyone is, but it seems like many are. This site is one way to meet like-minded Christians!

The areas I'm most interested in are technology to help the church and apologetics with a strong emphasis on Revelations. It makes me feel good when I know I helped someone understand a technology concept that helped their church extend their outreach, like when I tell someone about MessageShare.

It can be hard to tell people about God because like it or not, people already have their minds made up about God and can be harsh towards those who believe. So I need to work on my courage when telling people about God and not care if they judge me based on my beliefs.

I have an older Catholic neighbor and enjoy talking with him about his beliefs vs. mine. Making friends with people and discussing your beliefs is a great way to witness to them in my opinion.
The word of God needs to be spread throughout the world. The Bible says to take it to every tribe and nation. I have a very techie background, and with the coming of the Internet, we have amazing new ways to communication to tribes and in tongues, and to nations. Whether it is through a video production, helping a church design a website, or spreading the word by going door to door (the old fashion way), people need to hear the good news. Although I believe God does the change of heart, we are told to water and plant.
Today, I feel a great sense of peace and not the confusion that has surrounded all of us since this past political campaign and election. God seems to be saying" rest in my arms Richard, I am in control". I feel this assurance even though the world around me seems to be living in chaos. Evil will never outshine the Light that eminates from OUR SAVIOUR. Although many are disillusioned with the State of OUR Country, there are many that are about doing the Lord's work and that IS so comforting. Christians are gathering and joining together finally, and I'm sure this is God's Plan!
Today the Lord has impressed upon my heart to never give up praying for those people that I know who are not believers...God is in control! Just as He is in our Country today! Our part is to never stop praying!
I believe that the Church of Christ is built on prayer. Jesus plainly said that His Father's house shall be a house of prayer. I know this isn't taught but it should be. That just as in the physical world people are born from their mother's womb and in the same sense of reality, people are birth spiritually into the kingdom of God. When you or I or anyone for this fact ever became born again, someone, somewhere gave birth to you in the spiritual realm and travailed for you to receive birth in Christ. Paul stated this and this is why we need more intercessory prayer warriors praying for those who are lost. So shouldn't this be the first priority for every single Christian to know the importance of prayer and then to do it! We are the priests of God but yet so many few Christians even know what it is like to experience the presence of God in the times of prayer and devotions when at home. This needs to change. Before the Church is going to be fully complete in Christ, we as Christians NOW have to pray, speak the word of God. teach, heal the sick, proclaim the coming Kingdom, warn of the coming Tribulation and experience divine fellowship and relationship with the Lord Jesus! If those Christians who will not take the time to watch and pray, he did say to watch TV and Play. They may find themselves spiritual asleep when He returns for his own...Let us set aside a time daily, to privately meet with Jesus in praise and worship and then wait and listen not with the physical ear but listen with spiritual ears, and the Lord will guide and direct and you shall experience the Glory of God with each passing day...
Recently what has been impressed upon my heart is that we are to watch Jesus very closely, We are to keep our eyes upon Jesus. We are to seek Him with all our hearts and minds. Do Not look toward man and don't allow ministry (yours or another) cloud your vision of Him. Keep our eyes upon Him at all times.
"Come closer to Me. I want you, I love you, I delight in having you close. I created you and you're Mine. How much and how deeply do you know that? You've been through so much pain and alienation in your life brought on by others of My creation. But I want you to know I was there all the time praying and weeping for you while you wept and felt utter desolation and emptiness. I was the million invisible hugs you received every time you were abandoned emotionally or physically. Have you ever noticed in the Bible whenever I made My presence show up in a physical manner, everything in My Presence became holy and pure? And do you know that when you enter My presence, you become the same holy, pure, and whole? So why not simply dwell there?"
I guess what the Lord is speaking to me about today is the meaning of "Seek ye First the Kingdom Of Heaven, and the rest will be added unto you." Read Mat. 6:31-34 We trust the Lord with our lives, but not with our money, or our small problems... I got a chance last night to counsel with a young christian and we were talking about seeking God, and that was fine, most people understand that, but when it comes to hard times, we as humans want to just take the reins and handle things ourselves. God wants us to just be content with seeking HIM first and letting HIM take care of ALL our needs! So what does it mean to "Seek Ye First"? I think it means to pray for His will in EVERY situation, and trust that HE already knows the answer to the problem! Be devoted to putting HIM and His ways first. Then all we have to do is put our nose to the grinding wheel and look for the windows of opportunity to minister to others. There are opportunities EVERY day to help others and so often we miss them because we are busy. Let God hold the reigns so that we can plow the fields!!!
God Bless!!
I believe God is calling us today to a closer fellowship with Him and a higher level of faith in Him, both of which can only be attained through more time spent in prayer and worship. And of course, He is requiring obedience to all of His Word, not just those areas we would choose. We must wholly submit our lives to the Lord of Lords, casting down any spirit of control, any spirit of pride, any idolatry that we might be harboring.

We are called to live our very lives as acts of worship to glorify His holy name. Whatever we do, we should do as unto the Lord. He is to be at the center, to be our focus. We are to sever our relationship with anyone or anything we might be involved with or engaged in that would detract from, or distract us from, our relationship with Him.

And we are to be sanctified, separated from the world. He says in Romans 12:2, “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” When we choose not to believe the report of this world, but instead to stand on God’s Word, we can begin to believe God for BIG things!

Our faith is bolstered when we persevere in the promises of God and watch Him deliver. When we are obedient to His Word and we are at the center of His will for our lives, we can believe God for “crazy” things – we can expect Him to show His supernatural power when we submit and stop trying to do everything in our own natural power. He is our Deliverer! We must submit in obedience and allow Him to deliver.
Like you, Juanita, I think the Lord is preparing to return. In my personal life I am seeking to share with those unsaved people who realize "something" is happening...for things cannot go on as they are. I also have been learning...through circumstances in my life...not to put any trust in money and what it can buy. One would think,as a older Christian, I would have learned that long ago! I am a worrier...about money. Well...God allowed circumstances to put us in a situation where....there was NO income. I learned a big lesson...and despite the impossible circumstances....God provided! There is NO security ...except in Christ!

You are interested in "technology" You can use avenues like the internet to minister and express your beliefs without fear of intimidation.
