Creating a Learning Network for Community Builders!

The People, as individuals and as groups of individuals, own certain powers- they own sovereign power to make group decisions for a common purpose, they own authority to care for their needs together and as a whole group, and they own different forms of shared identity and commonality, or "common unity", as communities of different types. So the People own sovereignty, authority, and common unity (community) that all ultimately come from God.

The state is just a small part of this, but when so much of of our sovereignty, authority, and community are basically made to obey a state then we stop having a free society and move into a managed society- people get treated like the only "grown up" who can make decisions is the state and like they are it's children, no matter how old they are!

The truth is, and this is so very important, that we have three primary types of sovereignty. Two types of sovereignty are only for this life and they will only last for so long- the national sovereignty of the People and the sovereignty of the free association of the People. The third, but most important, form of sovereignty is the Kingdom sovereignty of God's People.

Without getting too much into what these sovereignties mean, what is important for now is that the state is just a PART of our national sovereignty and it should NOT be too keen to poke its nose into the other two types of sovereignty.

The "separation of church and state" doctrine turns this whole concept upside down!

You see, the state doesn't need to be "protected" from a Kingdom sovereignty, in other words "the church". It is the Kingdom sovereignty of the People of God that stands to lose against an abusive state, because the Body of Christ as the Ecclesia (or "church" in a broader sense of the term )is unarmed but the state has the guns! The same is true for the sovereignty of the free association of the People: it doesn't have weapons to fight with, only the state should have such weapons. So it's not the "poor state" we need to feel sorry for, it's the state that is most likely to mess with the free associations or the church (ecclesia of ALL Believers) within the nation, and we must do our best to keep the state so confined that it can't even accidentally interfere in free associations and the church (Ecclesia of ALL Believers).

We do have a Bill of Rights, so the state does not have all of the guns. In the process of keeping the state confined so that it does not interfere with free associations and the church, we do have the authority as sovereign political communities  to administer controlled violence.  We are not trying to take on the state, but with God's help and wisdom we can make positive changes under Constitutional law(Article V Con Con, 2nd amendment).

Before the Ekklesia became a state religion, Christians were martyred in great numbers, but we are to offer ourselves up as living sacrifices holy and acceptable to God.  Before Jesus Christ died he commanded his disciples to begin arming themselves, not to prevent his arrest of course, but he did have a long range goal for his people-a nation of kings and priests.  Romans 13 vs 1 says that God as ordained all powers in this world, including the Ekklesia or called out ones who are ambassadors of the world to come(kingdom sovereignty).
