And the years go by

It has been almost 7 years since my father died. It seems like forever and it seems like it was only days or weeks ago.

Here, at 51 years of age, I face the added change this year of gaining a grandson. It is our first grandchild. I look backward to the birth of the child that is now the mother. I was 24. My dad was 52. In life, I am in a situation not far different from what he experienced. It was only a few months later that he lost his job. He had a young son still at home and at least… Continue

More so, how even some of the mainsream media and news services are beginning to see and comment on the changes and issues at hand.

Within the last few weeks we have seen so much happen and can see the potential of so much more to… Continue

Samson Society- The Alternative to mens groups

Posted on March 4, 2009 at 6:13pm 0 Comments

Although when one reads the book by co-founder Nate Larkin "Samson and the Pirate Monks" and gets the idea that the Samson Society is for men that have faced or are addicted to pornography, in reality it is for all men.

The idea that we must be part of a men's group in our own local church is not what this is all about, nor does it promote that idea. What I like most about Samson meetings is that anybody from anywhere with any problem is welcome. The groups strength comes from the… Continue
