Creating a Learning Network for Kingdom Builders!
Hello to all my Christian family!
Forgive me for not keeping "in touch" more often. Some of the time I have been just plain lazy and other times I am busy trying to do the work God has put before me. Life is great and hectic for all of us but, we must keep going.
In the past few months I have been watching people more closely, especially those I go to church with and I have noticed the sad, forelorn look on their faces. Some looking as if they lost their best friend. I ask myself "why? " are they not seeing the hand of God move and do they not hear His voice like I do?
My question to everyone is How do you see and hear God in your life? I hear his whispers reminding me of a scripture just when I need it. He reminds me of the things I need to change using the Holy Spirit to convict my heart. He makes HIS word an "Ah Ha moment " just at the right time! I know HE is working in my life when a person asks me "are you a Christian?" that proves to me they SEE something....Jesus' love in my life!
My husband recently asked me, "why does every conversation end up discussing the Bible, God and church?"
I answered , "That is the center of my life and that is what I enjoy, that is what is important to me"
If others were experiencing this why is it not showing on their faces. I have also heard many people say they feel like they can't hear from God, God won't speak to them for some crazy reason, maybe they feel unworthy of hearing from him. Whatever their reasoning, I'm here to say, God does speak in many ways and has wonderful ideas to get our attention. Christianity is about a Relationship not about a RELIGION....Relationships are always two (2) sided. I talk, you listen, you talk, I listen. God speaks, not everyone listens.
My prayer leader said something the other day that was such a neat way to describe how the Holy Spirit works. She said "it's the butterfly affect!" The butterfly "flitters, and moves from one place to another and then lights somewhere not staying in one place too long but, always knows where to land, how to land, as it has been programmed into him by God. The holy spirit does much of the same, ALWAYS knows what ,where, and how long to stay and last does this with grace and gentleness to accomplish the mission set before him.
In saying this, I hope you will try to watch and listen a little more intently in the future to what God is saying. I hope to hear your comments and praises! Be Blessed , Laura
