Creating a Learning Network for Kingdom Builders!
Where are your on your spiritual path today? Are you standing by the gentle stream as it sings to you its lullaby of peace and tranquility? Are you among the wild flowers as you lay in green pastors watching the hand of God create the clouds of many designs as they stroll by above you? Or, have you found yourself on the part of the journey where you stand among the jagged rocks and steep cliffs, and hear the echoes of the wolves? The path of truth and personal salvation is all this and more. Take my hand and walk with me just a bit?
Compare truth to that of a circle. Each of us as individuals will begin our journey at one point or another. No point of the circle is neither the beginning nor the end but simply the beginning for each of us as individuals. The quest being, to complete the circle, in order to see and realize all that is truth. For this reason we should not judge or condemn anyone, for they may simply be standing on a different bend of the circle, and if we continue on in our journey, we will most likely find ourselves there as well at one point in time. If our path has already taken us there, then we should guild but not ridicule for we may need the same hand of guidance soon ourselves.
The path of discovering all the hidden mysteries that stir within our hearts cannot be walked in fear but only in love. Love for God and that of the hand of mercy and grace as we walk into what can be at times a forest of unknown and frightening things. For this reason the word of God tells us “Do not be afraid, -only believe”. Trust, that in God’s hands, you will make it through every part of your journey. The thing to remember is in order to complete the circle you must continue walking. Do not grow stagnant in one place and do not let the weeds grow up around your heels. Learn the lesson the path has for you and look forward to what is located just around the next bend.
Far too many people settle for one point in the circle of discovery and they miss out on some of the most spectacular and magnificent parts of the path. Some would have you stay and be content, but for the seeker, contentment of spirituality cannot be gained until all that is offered is understood. Are you a seeker or one of simple contentment, I guess that would be the question. For the one who urns for truth and completeness, the only option I would say is to continue walking.
Do not misunderstanding me, I am not suggesting anyone walk away from their faith or from a particular church body. What I am referring to is a hunger for knowledge and understanding that cannot always be found in simply one place. Remember the comparison I wrote of truth being that of a jig saw puzzle? Where you are now, is but a hand full of pieces of the completed puzzle. Don’t be afraid to find the others. Remember what you learned and use it to guild you. Take God with you, as the Kingdom of God is within you. Let the spirit of truth guild you and direct you. The spirit will confirm to you the pieces to pick up and the pieces to look over.
Many of us on the path will undoubtedly find each other, which is why many times we feel, bonded to a certain group. There is nothing greater than to walk the path of salvation and discovery with friends and loved ones that understand where we have been and that will hold our hand in times of fear and unsureness. But never stay with a group that will not allow you to grow as a person and that condemns rather than guilds.
Wherever you are on your spiritual journey today, know that others have walked it before you, and others will walk it after you. Parts of the journey are care free and wonderful, while others are not so tranquil. It is in the hardest times of despair however that we learn some of the most valuable lessons in life. Don’t take a moment for granted, learn from each one, and if you see me on the path, perhaps you will walk with me a bit.
