Hi Juanita
Thanks for this follow-up post. Yes, witnessing on Twitter is both exciting and challenging. Exciting because many who are clearly in need of GOD are here on Twitter. Challenging because it's hard to witness when we cannot meet in person.
I am still experimenting to see if there's a good way to witness & follow-up with a real-life friendship for those we are witnessing to. One possible way is to link up with fellow believers who are able to follow-up in person.
My approach so far:
1. Direct tweets at people who label themselves as atheists & GLBTs (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans) each week. Such tweets are intended to elicit a response from those who believe strongly in their cause, and follow up when they respond.
2. Address those who respond by their name, unless their name is not stated on their profile. It's basic courtesy and it reflects our desire to reach out to them as friends.
3. Answer every of their tweets with GOD's Word and sharing of personal experiences.
4. Most important of all - Pray and commit them in prayer before, during and after witnessing. I usually send out prayer requests via tweets as well so that fellow brothers and sisters in Christ can offer prayer support.
Some samples of my tweets are as follows:
1. GOD wants us not to just run away from hell but run towards Him, for He loves us as any father loves his child, only more. 2. When I share Jesus with you my friend, I'm sharing my life with you because Jesus IS my life. He binds us together in His love! 3. If Christ is one of many ways to GOD, then we preach Him out of pride. But if He's the Only Way, we're preaching Him out of love 4. If you know someone died for you, you cannot but love him and be grateful eternally. Jesus Christ did that for you. 5. Roads are irrelevant if GOD doesn't exist. If He does, then we'll want to be on the right track.

The GOOD NEWS...
Many Christians are joining to defend our faith from the challenges of the atheists. Many of the atheists are proud, angry and most importantly they profane everything we hold dear. The worst part is that, for the most part, they are unchallenged. I am glad to see more Christians standing for Christ against them.
The not so GOOD news..
I am finding some of the atheists, when we challenge them get profane - saying things like this:
"You don't know anything about the history of your dirty Bible or your dirty cult. You cherry pick what makes you feel good."
"The only things I hate are ignorance and intolerance. Two prerequisites to being a christian."
I was thinking about when Paul would go into a town... sometimes it went well, other times there was a riot. We are finding that witnessing to atheists is something like that, some days are more peaceful than others.

No consequences, is that what we really want. Deep down I believe every #atheist has a void, a thirst & a quest

The following posts got MANY retweets (reposts) from atheists..
- I've seen many God-miracles. How many atheist miracles have U seen?
- Atheists, losing too many members 2 hell, feel death is unfair and unsuccessfully call for boycott #atheist
- What am I doing today? I am tenderheartly telling #atheist that they are going to hell. #jesus
- Good news. There are no atheists in hell. #atheist
- I’m just saying this – I may be detecting an anti-God bias in those who ‘prove’ God doesn’t exitst. #atheist #creation #jesus
- Misplaced energy? Atheists passionate about their belief in nothing, absolutely nothing. #atheist
- What is the difference between a dead atheist and a dead Christian? One is surprised. #atheist #creation #jesus
