HE sees ME

Gen 16:13 She gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her: "You are the God who sees me," for she said, "I have now seen the One who sees me." Ps 139:9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. Job 34:21 "His eyes are on the ways of men; He sees their every step. John 1:10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God There’s an old joke something like – “Why do famous people wear sunglasses outdoors? So they won’t be recognized. Why do they wear them inside? So they will be.” How great it is to know that with God we do not have to go to any such craziness to get His attention. His eye is on us every moment. Hagar was aware of this truth in the above verse when she received news from the angel of the Lord that she would bear a son and that her descendents would be too numerous to count. (Gen 16-13) So why do WE not “see Him” more often. John summed up the answer when he said, “He came unto His own, but His own did not recognize Him”. Sometimes our eyes are blinded by our own ignorance. Like the Pharisees we expect God to appear in a way that we have conceived in our own minds, but at times He comes from “the other side of the tracks”. He shows Himself in a way we do not expect so we think He has not shown up at all, but He has. Thank You God for revealing Yourself to Your people. Oh HELP US TO SEE YOU in every moment of our days so that we can in turn HELP OTHERS TO SEE YOU. AMEN
