Great questions. I am at the National Religious Broadcaster's Convention and am getting these questions even before the convention opens! Sooo... I thought I would create this disucssion and share with everyone! We created MessageShare because we believe it is important to stay connected within the church, even when people are not able to attend on Sundays when they are out sick, on a missions trip, or otherwise unable to be in church. (Not to mention, many ministry organizations are using MessageShare to add audio content to their sites!) Too many churches either don't have messages on their site OR have messages in one long, unsearchale list. You can get to the next level by adding the type of sort and search capabilities that people need to be able to find the right message. MessageShare gives your listeners the ability to search for a certain message with ease, by a) being able to sort messages by Date, Title, Speaker, Series, Topic, and Scripture, and b) being able to find a message with our "Advanced Search" by typing in keywords in conjunction with the aforementioned search method. We also find that if messages are added in a long list, that often people just listen to the most recent. It is too much work to sift through a list to find something special. With MessageShare, your listeners can not only find and hear the right message, they can share the sermons in 4 ways: 1. Play: To listen to your messages right away, listeners would simply click the "Play" button, and your message would start streaming immediately. 2. Download: Listeners also have the option of downloading your messages to listen to later on their computer. 3. Email-to-a-Friend: To encourage sharing, listeners simply click on the email-to-a-friend button to email a link of a specific message to their friend or friends. 4. Podcasting: In this technological age, people, especially the younger generation, are using portable MP3 players to listen to audio on the go. MessageShare's Podcasting feature automates your Podcasting. By simply checking a box for each message you want to include in your Podcast, you let listeners automatically receive your cast, they can then transfer your messages to their portable MP3 players. You can view live demos of MessageShare at the following links: NorthGate Church http://www.northgatechurch.org/play.php Greater Fellowship Full Gospel Baptist Church http://new.vchurches.com/greaterfellowshipdc/home.aspx?igid=58201 Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church http://www.ompc.org/templates/cusoakmountainpres/details.asp?id=32227&PID=424313 Want to know the technical specs? MessageShare uses what is known an iFrame technology. Since most websites accept iFrames, just about everyone can integrate MessageShare with their website with ease. To upload your messages, you would simply make sure they are in MP3 format, log on to your MessageShare account, fill out the "Message Properties" form, and upload your message. It's that simple! MessageShare is very affordable, and you can pay per month or for a year at a time. Here are the pricing options for MessageShare: Monthly: If you pay for MessageShare monthly, the cost is $19.97 per month. Year: If you pay for MessageShare for a year, you will save over $40, and pay only $199 for a whole year! If you are really needing to know what MessageShare will look like on your website, we can make a mock-up. Let us know if you’d like us to make a mock-up of MessageShare on your website. Here's a mock-up we made of what MessageShare would look like on The Orchard Church's website:

  • Frank, thank you for sharing that with us! I'm happy to hear that MessageShare is providing an easy way to get your messages out to the people!
  • We added Message Share to our web site and are very pleased with the results. When we built our web site, we wanted no clutter and simple navigation. A main factor in choosing Message Share is the clean lines and great search engine. We looked at hundreds of church web sites, particularly how messages were handled, before making our decision. The best approach I have seen so far is Message Share Another key factor is the report that keeps track of how often each message is listened to. I highly recommend Message Share.
