KingdomCommunities – Part Two: Preparing the Ground

Prepare Prayer and Fasting. What it means: Nothing significant happens in the Kingdom without prayer and fasting. The burden to pray for this region has been strong. We are intentionally working to stir more in the Kingdom to prayer and fasting. Connect and Establish Communities. What it means: Everything significant in the Kingdom grows out of genuine relationship. Quite by accident, it appears that we have made a discovery. Working together closely for 40 days really helps ‘set’ community in place. Remember how Jesus asked the 120 to wait for the Holy Spirit. And how long did they wait? 40 days. Then, after the 3,000 came into the Kingdom, what did they do? They served God in community – they devoted themselves to prayer, fellowship, breaking of bread and the Apostle’s teaching. We’re being intentional about building and rebuilding community…

• Pastors/Church Leaders. We drew together many of the church leaders to share the vision for Kingdom Communities.
• Open Houses. Johnny and my home became the first ‘Open House’ for Kingdom Communities. We have meals most every night for various people involved in the effort. We connect and support each other. We are now working to intentionally establish more Open Houses across the community.
• Common Houses. The first Common House is being set up. This will be a place where men can get intensive discipleship and training. The goal is to establish more Common Houses throughout the region.
• Training Villas. Plans are underway for establishing Villas where families can join together for intensive discipleship training.
