What is hell? Hell is ultimate destination of all unsaved souls. A place VOID of God. Completely void of God, void of Love, void of Joy. All that lives there is torment, pain, and regret.
Revelation 20:15
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
This morning I was thinking about all the lost souls in the world. I thought about the billions of souls in torment in hell-some have been there already for thousands of years while some only yesterday or even this morning.
I thought about us as Christians and wondered- Do we live in denial of all the unsaved souls in the world? Do we forget about our friends and family who are unsaved and are heading to hell?
What are we doing to make a difference?
I had a picture in my head this morning and I believe it was from Jesus.
I saw a man in a pit of dark dark brown, thick, gooey liquid. The man was covered from head to foot and he was crying out for someone to pull him out but people walked by. Christians walked by not even stopping to see if the man needed help. He kept screaming out "Help me". Finally a man stopped and grabbed one of the mans flailing arms and began pulling him out. It was a struggle because the man was so slimy he kept slipping back in but finally he was free.
All I could think was that we have to go to the darkness. We cant be afraid of the darkness. We have to go in and pull these people out. No matter how often they slip we have to stick with them and keep witnessing, keep loving no matter how hard or tiring it is. If they reject us and don't want us to witness to them that is one thing but if they are open keep telling them about Gods love.
1 Peter 4:9 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
We have to love people no matter how deep and dark their "pit of sin" is. We have to go to them, don't wait for them to come to you.
What are we (you, me) doing to save souls?
Youth leaders, Pastors, Kids Min Leaders, etc-Go out! Dont stay in the confines of your church people/students/kids. Go out and bring into the Church the unlovable, the dirty, the hungry, the adulterers, the addicts, the broken, the poor, the needy. Love will change EVERYTHING.
You alone are 1 person but together we CAN make a change, make a difference.
You cant do everything but you can do something.
Start with 1 person.
It breaks the heart of God when even 1 person goes to hell, separated from Him forever. It should break our heart as well. It should make us weep when someone in our circle of friends/family dies and they are not saved.
You cant be everything to everyone but you can be something to someone.
YOU CAN CHANGE A LIFE. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
Dont be afraid, God is our Leader.
We must not fail to do something just because we cannot do everything.
Hell is real. Separation from the Father FOREVER.
It breaks my heart thinking about all the people that have gone to hell over the centuries. People who were famous, people who owned businesses, had children, and families. People just like you and I-in hell forever. and ever. and ever....their
pain, torment and torture goes on forever as they are separated from the source of Love and Life-God the Father.
But this does not HAVE to happen-we can change lives. We can be that one person who changes someones life.
I encourage you-start with one. Just one person. Be a light, love well, be Jesus.
I just heard this on a video:
Sometimes I want to ask God, why do you allow injustice, poverty, pain, and suffering when you can do something about it. Want to know why I don't ask Him? I am afraid He might ask me the same question.
We are Christs ambassadors. We are here as Christians to be a light not to live out our Christian lives privately. Christianity, our faith, IS NOT a private matter. We have to go into the darkness and pull those who are there into the light. Expose them to light, to the love of Jesus.
We are the ones called to make a change.
We are the ones called to stand up for Justice in a fallen world.
We are the ones called to lay hands on the sick and see them recover.
We are the ones called to love unconditionally.
We are the ones called to pull lost souls out of the darkness.
