Think about it... If you think "Christian Finances", who comes to mind? If you think "Christian family', who comes to mind? If you think "Jail minitry", who comes to mind? If you think about "College ministry", what groups come to mind? Now, pause. If you think "Making disciples" who comes to mind? I draw a blank. Do you? If you don't, please share!!! If you draw a blank like I do, we need to get serious. This isn't just a 'gap', it is the 'grand canyon' of need opening up around us!

  • Lisa,
Good point. I DO think the ministries above make disciples. But, my point was who is teaching us how to better make disciples. This was Jesus MAIN focus, yet, I don't think I can name one national ministry that has the focus of training people on how to make disciples!
  • Who comes to mind when thinking "Making Disciples". Shouldn't all of the groups listed above come to mind? I would hope that those who are ministerig to these groups are making disciples. The Bible makes it clear that we are called to go and make disciples of all nations. Pauls writings reveal that different parts of the body have different gifts or abiities. We are not all eyes or all ears. Some are teachers. Some are pastors. Shouldn't we all be using our unique abilities to reach the group that we most connect with?
