Revelations from God

I was reading through my old diary entries the other day, and one sentence in particular stood out to me. It was, "Let your spirit and presence be known to all." I don't even remember writing that (it was four years ago), and I know it had to have been a revelation from God. I just did a Google search on the exact phrase I wrote, and there were no exact matches, but there was a match for "Let your spirit be known to all." It's actually a Bible verse! "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." -Philippians 4:4-7 (NASB) Has anyone ever gotten a revelation from God? I mean something that just came to you that could not have come from anyone else but God? If so, what was it?

  • That's really interesting. I find when things do come to me, it's usually something in the Bible I may have read before but just glanced over, and it causes me to think more about it.

I know more of you have had revelations, knowledge, etc. from God from reading your past posts. Don't be shy!
  • For me, I would put much of my experience with God into the 'revelation' catagory vs. the 'logic/knowledge' catagory. Here is what I mean: I might learn something about God, his Kingdom or principles. Then the Holy Spirit will make it very real to me: reveal it to me. It might be the same information, but I then process it on a deeper level & it becomes part of me. It then impacts me in a deeper way. I have observed that many people do not have the same experiences. But, some do.
