“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.”
Acts 2: 17-18
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.
1 Timothy 4:12-14
The Bible clearly says that God WILL/CAN/DOES use young people. I love a quote by Bill Johnson, “There is no Junior Holy Spirit”. The same Spirit that was in David Wilkerson and Billy Graham lives inside of you and in me! We don’t have to earn the Holy Spirit or get more of the Spirit when we “reach maturity”.
Paul was killing Christians one day and 3 days later was walking in full time ministry.
David killed a giant as a teenager! God used him to defeat a massive enemy!
Mary was 16 (ish) when God chose HER to give birth to the Saviour of the World.
Joseph was a kid when God gave him VISIONS of ruling over his brothers.
Samuel was a little kid when God literally called to Him.
The Apostles were mostly made up of fishermen, tentmakers and even a tax collector. And they were put in full time ministry overnight!
Timothy was a young dude who ministered with Paul.
What made the above mentioned people “qualified” or “mature” enough to do what God called them to do?
I doubt Paul “matured” in the 3 days he was struck blind. But 3 days after his encounter with God, God sent him out! He spent the rest of his life in ministry. There wasn’t some huge time gap where he had to sit for a season of training. Many times experience is our best trainer. God didn’t wait until Paul was “old enough” or “mature enough” in his faith. He just used him.
David was a teenager, a Shephard. God made him a young King! David screwed up a lot as a leader but did God say, “Sorry David, you dropped the ball, youre gonna have to just sit out for a while while we re-train you.” No, God forgave him, rebuked him through a prophet and dealt with him pretty harshly but he didn’t take away his Kingship.
Samuel was a child when he heard the audible voice of God calling to Him. He was a KID! God has a purpose for Samuel and wasn’t making him wait until he was 35 and “mature”.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I believe the more mature you get the more God gives you and trusts you with. I am not dissing mature Christians. What I am saying though is that God isn't playing games with us. As soon as we get saved and accept Jesus as Savior, He can use us!
I am 25, I am young. I will make mistakes and will screw up. I may give a “Prophetic Word” and be off base, because I am young and still learning. I may lay hands on someone and not see them healed right away. But that’s not going to stop me.
There is a call and a mantle being dropped on my generation. The 16-30 age group has a CALL. We are the Leaders for this next move of God. We are not going to be sitting on the sidelines for this thing-we will be in the center of it. We will lay hands on the sick and see them recover immediately, we will prophecy, we will have dreams and vision, we will have words of knowledge. We will have good discernment.
I truly believe that this generation will step up, an army of youth and young adults.
We will take authority over Satan and his kingdom. We will not be silent any longer. We will not be “Wild Stallions”. We will be submitted under solid leadership and churches, be trained and equipped and sent out to battle.
To all the Young Adults reading this who feel like you are looked down on, judged and/or feel discredited because youre young remember the promise of the verses I posted. He WILL pour out HIS Spirit and when God moves no man can stand in HIS way!
We are all CALLED and CHOSEN for this time. This generation needs to raise the standard!
Don’t give our churches and leaders reasons to look down on us! Let them judge our fruit. Produce amazing fruit and our churches and leaders will have no reason to not acknowledge the gifts, talents and stuff we have to offer the Kingdom. Produce GOOD fruit! Let your trees be heavy with fruit!
My friend Amanda was talking with me about this, “, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity” (from 1 Timothy). She said that the reason our Church Leaders and Churches have a hard time trusting this generation is because were not producing good fruit in the areas of love, faith and purity and in our speech. So if we change that..constant pursuit of holiness. Don’t give people a reason to discredit us. Walk in LOVE, in PURITY, in our SPEECH, in FAITH!
Produce GOOD FRUIT! Let our leaders see the fruit we produce and let them see God using us.
We must be living our lives in holiness. Stop justifying sin so we can do what we want. Stop all the drama. We must walk out lifestyles of Love and Holiness.
Don’t give anyone a reason to discredit you. You may be young but that doesn’t mean youre too young for God to use! Walk in Boldness. Walk in Love. Walk in Faith. Walk in Purity. Watch what comes out of your mouth. Be careful of the Entertainment you let into your lives. Be careful of the people you surround yourself with.
Go forth in Power just like Jesus did!

Charachter + boldness of faith = makings of a move of God
I agree that there is a generation rising up in faith, demanding charachter and truth......and they will impact generations and nations :) We might think well polished speakers, and well school Christians will lead what God is about to do. But the wrapper isn't important...what is inside is where it is at!
