  • My wife and step-daughter like the Twilight movies but really not my thing. For vampire movies I prefer Blade, 40 Days of Night, Lost Boys and the original Nosferatu. No sparkly vampires in those! I am also a big fan of the Paranormal Activity series. It is really cool how they do each of the movies as prequels rather than sequels. We all watch the Harry Potter movies as a family.

  • I had a problem 3 weeks ago when I went to see Paranormal Activity 3, but x2 of the youth from Church wanted to come with me... I couldn't say no cause they are over the age of 15. But it caused a bit of an uproar with some of the youth leaders not agreeing with them coming.

So the next week the youth leaders decided to do a study on what you should be watching and should not... It was obviously pointed out to those two youths who came to see PA3 with me. They felt uncomfortable. Some of the movies they mentioned was Harry Potter, some Disney movies and others...

I wasn't happy about the way they handled it. I'm not happy with some of the things they teach anyways.

I think... Its our own decisions on what we watch and don't watch. I can understand if you are under the age, I would have not let them come. We have to do whats right with our own personal walk with God. To me movies like Paranormal Activity are just movies to watch for fun, then forget about later. But If I did feel I was getting obsessed with these kind of movies or the start to effect my walk with Christ, I would stop watching.

As for Twilight I don't like them just because I don't have an interest. Hehe. I think they are more for girls to watch than us guys. =]
