Brother Doug, Don't look at it as retirement but a steping stone in another direction that God is leading you. As for the Christian, there is no such thing as retirement. We are busy doing the will of God until he takes us home. There is a great work in bringing in the harvest of the Lord. Pray and the Lord will plant you where the harvest is great and if you sense a burden in your spirit about the direction that you are taking, it may be a sign not to go that route. Jesus leads you in peace as you are moving in the direction he wants you to go..Make use of your time, your energy and your provisions for the work the Lord is calling you unto. The hour is upon us and Bible prophecy is unfolding right before our eyes. Blessings.
Doug, I would like to add you as a friend, I want to thank you as well for your great service to our Country. I have also served 6 years in the National Guards and regret even getting out of the service. I encourage every young person to go this route. It will make a responsible man out of you!
