What it means: We, the Kingdom of God, should be shedding His light to all dimensions of society.
God’s infinite wisdom should be affecting positive change at all levels of society…
-Laws. For instance, we should have righteous laws that protect the freedom of all Americans. Instead, we see a steady erosion of the freedoms that make our nation great.
-Health. For instance, we understand from research that many health issues are directly related to how we respond to the trials and difficulties around us. People indulge in alcohol and drugs to ‘medicate away’ their problems. There is a better way to deal with things!
-Individual lives. For instance, many are fearful and frustrated with the current economic crisis. We can live above our circumstances!
-Churches. For instance, many pastors struggle with how to keep relevant in a rapidly changing environment, and they struggle to see their churches grow. Together we can find and turn the keys!
-The list goes on and on. The point is this: we should be salt and light in everything we touch!
